Transportation
Following are the main transport methos which you will be needin
during your stay in Egypt:
Flights
Egypt Air, the national carrier provides domestic flights to all
the major touristic cities in Egypt. There are some other small
charter airlines which can provide a private transfer to the
different destinations in Egypt.
Trains
Trains in Egypt, in general, are comfortable, especially the
first class variety. the sleeping Train, although it is little
more expensive, but traveling at night makes the trip missing no
real "Tour Time", and avoids the cost of a hotel room.
Trains to Alexandria leave almost hourly. The duration of the
trip is approximately two hours.
Regular trains to Luxor and Aswan leave usually in the morning
or late evening. The duration of this trip is about 9 to 13hours
depending on the train.
Buses
Public buses are the most economical way for a tourist to travel
within Egypt especially to the destinations which are not to be
reached by train like Hurghada, Gouna, Safaga, Marsa Alam, Sharm
El Sheilkh, Dahab, Nuweiba, Taba, etc... Buses available to
tourists are air conditioned and comfortable. |
